Continuous Professional Development (CPD)

Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is a modern and very effective method of enabling learning and development to take place, resulting in improved knowledge and performance, and available to all as a professional or personal development tool.

CPD is popular with employers who are going through cycles of organisational change, possibly brought about by mergers, and wish to restructure and develop their staff in new or revised roles to achieve organisational goals and objectives, whilst identifying and understanding individual development needs, all resulting in significant benefits for both the company and the employee.

There is also a growing demand from individuals who wish to take greater control of their own learning and professional development - they are turning to private Mentors to help maximise their potential with their current employer with a view to career progression.

Whether mentoring is carried out by an internal member of staff, or by an external Mentor, it is about focusing on an individual which enhances morale, motivation and productivity, leading to success through feeling valued and connected in a small or large organisation

To be a successful mentor requires knowledge and understanding of organisational operations coupled with skills and techniques in line with the environment and subject areas in which learning and development is to take place. If you are interested in learning more about how we can mentor your staff to meet your organisational needs, or how we can be of benefit to you as an individual, please call us to arrange an appointment.
